Finals Fever
Cheer on your local Senior Superstar!
Thirteen of the Sunshine Coast’s most talented mature-age acts will compete for the coveted Senior Superstar crown in the Grand Final on Saturday 7 November at the Caloundra RSL. This year’s competition has seen 58 acts perform over three heats in Noosa, Maroochydore and Nambour. With the oldest entrant coming in at 92, entrants have proved that talent only gets better with age!
Join special guest judge, Gold Logie winner John Wood, to see the following finalists:
- Self taught Harmonica groover Ann Finch, 87 from Birtinya, performing a Medley of Waltzing Matilda and Danny Boy on the harmonica
- Rock’n’roll singer and retired Tailor, Johnny Bee, 68 from Currimundi, who will get the crowd rocking to the Johnny O’Keefe classic “Sing, Sing, Sing”, in one of his hand made suits.
- Tap dancing group Allez Katz who will show some smart tapping moves to the tune “Get Happy”. Most of the ladies have not been on stage since they were young girls.
