NambourNambour RSL swung open the doors and put down the welcome mat for the final heat for Senior Superstar Sunshine Coast. Over 300 people attended and encouraged every act. The standard was so high that there was a tie with the top 6 acts being within a 5-point range. The audience overwhelmingly unanimous voted to let all 5 acts through and Nambour RSL obliged as well and offered a 5th prize so no finalist would miss out.Rosie Camilleri

Rosie Camilleri from Buderim discussed the funny differences between Italian engagement and an Australian engagement before singing “Oh My Beloved Daddy”.

Roger Hardy 66 of Buderim, sung a self-penned song about his love of the Sunshine Coast called “Where I am Now”.

Ann Finch, 87 of Birtinya proved she still has a great set of lungs as she played a Medley of Waltz on the harmonica, which had the whole crowd joining in for a sing-a-long.

Trevor Mitchell 66, from Mooloolaba’s version of the Neil Diamond hit “If You Know What I Mean” had many a seniors lady’s heart swooning.

5 ladies who formed the tap dancing group called Allez Katz showed everyone present some smart tapping moves to the tune “ Stepping Out”.

All were ecstatic to have made it through to the Grand Final on the 7th November at Caloundra RSL. Special guest judge for the Grand Final is Gold logie award winner and star of stage and screen John Wood.
