Maroochy Magic
Heat 2 of Senior Superstar Sunshine Coast was full of surprises and talent at the Maroochy RSL. 14 Acts presented a variety of performance to the 250 plus crowd. The heat even had a loyal gallery of fans. Singers, a poet, tap dancers, a belly dancer, comedian and even a horse ensured a great afternoon’s entertainment. Choosing for finalist was once again not an easy task with such a high standard of entertainment.
Tom Doyle, 71 from Moffat Beach sung Robbie Williams “Angels” and the crowd responded with a “Countdown” moment complete with hands swaying in the air.
The Tap Katz danced their way into the hearts of both judges and the audience to “Anything Goes”. The girls even danced an encore when they joined judge Paul Dellit on stage when he sung at the end of the show.

The Spring Racing Carnival may be in full swing but dressage featured at the Maroochy heat with George Farmer, 62 from Caloundra. Rocco and Rosella performed a hilarious routine, which earned a starting place in the Grand Final.
The Likely Lads – Brian Williams, 62 from Buddina and Geoffrey Harrod-Eagles, 58 from Minyama presented a song called “Wendy”, about a girlfriend full of air.
The final heat for the series is on Saturday 17 October, 2pm at Nambour RSL. Come along and see who will be the last 4 finalists to go through to the Grand Final.
